Job summary

CornerPxl, a Central New Jersey design and communications agency, is seeking a Communicaions/Multidisciplinary Designer for an in-office role in Clinton, NJ. You will translate complex ideas into clear visual communications across brand identities, campaigns, websites, social, and print collateral.

The ideal candidate has a mature design eye, strong conceptual thinking, and a portfolio showing branding, typography, layout, and multidisciplinary work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communication designs and/or graphic design.
• At least three years of professional design experience in an agency setting.
• Portfolio demonstrating concept thinking, visual storytelling, typography, layout, brand development, multidisciplinary work.
• Agency experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and execute communications across offline and online applications.
• Develop brand identities and visual systems; create integrated marketing campaigns.
• Design websites and digital experiences; manage social media and digital advertising visuals.
• Produce publications, presentations, and collateral; design environmental graphics and event communications.
• Collaborate with strategists, writers, marketers, developers, and PMs from concept to final execution.

Communicaions/Multidisciplinary Designer

Full-Time, In-Office Position

Clinton, New Jersey

About Us:

CornerPxl is a Central New Jersey strategic communications and design agency providing fully integrated creative, marketing, digital, and technology services to clients across the country.

We are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Communicaions/Multidisciplinary Designer with a mature design eye, strong conceptual thinking, and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling visual communications.

This opportunity is for someone who takes their craft seriously, brings energy and ownership to their work, and wants to become a meaningful part of a close-knit, highly collaborative, cross-disciplinary agency team.

What You’ll Do:

You will help conceptualize, design, and execute communications across a broad range of offline and online applications, including:

• Brand identities and visual systems
• Integrated marketing and advertising campaigns
• Websites and digital experiences
• Social media and digital advertising
• Publications, presentations, and collateral
• Environmental graphics and event communications
• Email and other audience-engagement materials

You will collaborate closely with strategists, designers, writers, marketers, developers, and project managers to move ideas from early concept through final execution.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in communication designs and/or graphic design
• At least three years of professional design experience within a design, advertising, marketing, or communications agency
• A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, typography, layout, brand development, and multidisciplinary work
• Agency experience is required for this position.

Professional Capabilities

• A strong command of communication design fundamentals, particularly typography, hierarchy, composition, and information clarity
• The ability to listen deeply, understand the larger story, and translate strategy into meaningful creative work
• Strong conceptual and visual storytelling skills
• High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Experience with commonly used design and collaboration platforms such as Figma and Canva
• A working understanding of web design principles, responsive design, accessibility, and evolving digital standards
• A strong hunger in emerging technologies and the thoughtful use of AI within the creative process
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects, make sound decisions, and move work forward without requiring constant direction
• Careful attention to detail throughout concept development, production, and final delivery

Understanding how to translate creative concepts into front-end production using HTML5 and CSS is a requirement.

Employment Structure and Introductory Period

This is a direct-hire, full-time W-2 position.

The first 90 days will serve as an introductory period, with structured check-ins to support onboarding, clarify expectations, and evaluate mutual fit. Upon successful completion of this period, the employee will become eligible for CornerPxl’s company benefits, subject to the terms and eligibility requirements of each benefit plan.

Because meaningful working relationships develop over time, CornerPxl continues a structured development and evaluation process throughout every employee’s first year. Formal reviews are conducted at key milestones to support professional growth, maintain clear expectations, and ensure continued alignment between the employee, the role, and our team culture.
