Multidisciplinary Evaluation Program Representative

Position Summary

The Multidisciplinary (MDE) Program Representative is a New York State certified or licensed approved evaluator responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of evaluation reports for the Committee on Preschool Education (CPSE) initial evaluations. Responsibilities include reporting discrepancies, discussing evaluation results with parents, attending CPSE review meetings, and tracking outcomes. The Evaluations Coordinator oversees this role.

Responsibilities
  • Review evaluation and summary reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Report discrepancies to Evaluation Specialists.
  • Discuss evaluation results with parents, providing reports in English and, if needed, in the parent's native language.
  • Participate in CPSE initial review meetings via Teams or conference call.
  • Present evaluation findings without making recommendations.
  • Address parent questions or concerns, escalating as necessary.
  • Forward approvals for additional evaluations.
  • Track and summarize outcomes of review meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree preferred; valid NYS certification in Special Education or Students with Disabilities, or a NYS professional license in Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Psychology.
