Job summary

The University of Chicago's Center for RISC in Chicago seeks an Analyst to work on tackling social issues through data analysis, literature reviews, and collaboration with field experts. Analysts contribute to a portfolio of ventures and pilot innovative interventions with partners.

We value diverse backgrounds, strong analytic and communication skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment. In‑person presence in Chicago is expected 2–3 days a week.

Qualifications

• Education: college or university degree in a related field.
• Work Experience: < 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Certifications: None specified.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to projects in our portfolio of established social impact ventures. Specific roles may include data analysis, software engineering, case management, operations, etc.
• Conduct academic literature reviews, converse with experts and pilot participants, analyze data, review news articles and media.
• Identify constructive approaches to hard problems and present findings to colleagues, partners, and funders.
• Pilot new and unconventional solutions with outside partners or within RISC; build prototypes or design incentive structures.
