Responsibilities

• Participates in design and planning reviews with A-E firms and contractors to identify and resolve construction challenges.
• Reviews project documentation prior to contract award to ensure constructability and material availability.
• Facilitates kickoff meetings to communicate scheduling, safety, reporting, and documentation requirements.
• Investigates design changes and site conditions or other applicable changes.
• Develops detailed cost estimates and prepares supporting documentation for contract modifications.
• Provides recommendations on proposal acceptance and contingency funding.
• Coordinates construction planning and scheduling with contractors and using agencies.
• Reviews contractor schedules and quality control plans.
• Ensures adherence to specifications and verifies contractor records of work and materials.
• Monitors construction progress and maintains daily documentation in the government system of record.
• Ensures compliance with wage/hour laws and EM 385-1-1 safety requirements.
• Reviews safety plans, conducts site inspections, and tracks corrective actions.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for using agencies to facilitate timely completion of facilities.
• Maintains open communication to ensure facilities are functional, sound, and meet end-user needs.
