GAF in Newton, KS is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform advanced multicraft maintenance on a high-volume production line, under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for safely completing a wide range of advanced multicraft tasks under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and provides general preventative mechanical, electrical and facility maintenance & repair support for the plant. This includes troubleshooting, working from blueprints and schematics as related to machine drives and conveying systems in a high volume production line environment. Daily requirements will include skills such as fabricating, welding, machining, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
The Maintenance Technician supports the production of high quality commercial roofing products, with a sense of urgency and accountability for equipment uptime. This employee thrives in environments where safety, quality, service and cost are the highest priorities and is able to make recommendations to improve the overall performance of plant equipment. The Maintenance Technician will interact and communicate effectively with all GAF employees with a positive, customer focused attitude.
Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.Base Hourly Rate: $37.08
