Multi-Unit Restaurant Manager

The Multi-Unit Restaurant Manager provides leadership and oversight for front-of-house operations across WCCB's dining venues, catering, and special events. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional service, resident satisfaction, operational consistency, and a welcoming dining experience.
Working within a framework of Teamship and Empowerment, this leader develops and supports service teams through coaching, accountability, and collaboration. The Multi-Unit Restaurant Manager partners with Dining Services leadership and other departments to strengthen operations, enhance the resident experience, and support the community's mission and values.
What You'll Do In This Role
- Lead daily front-of-house operations across multiple dining venues, catering, and special events.
- Lead, coach, and develop service leaders and team members to promote engagement, retention, and professional growth.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, and development of service personnel.
- Maintain high standards for service, food presentation, sanitation, food safety, and overall dining quality.
- Be visible and engaged during meal periods, connecting with residents and guests and responding promptly to feedback and concerns.
- Monitor resident satisfaction and venue performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing action plans as needed.
- Lead pre-meal standups and regular team meetings to communicate expectations, reinforce standards, and support team alignment.
- Address service concerns and operational challenges, escalating issues to Dining Services leadership when appropriate.
- Build strong relationships with residents, guests, team members, and community departments.
- Support Resident Dining Committee meetings, Team Leadership programs, special projects, holidays, and community events.
- Oversee cash controls and support the monitoring and evaluation of dining costs.
- Monitor inventory and ensure appropriate par levels are maintained within budget guidelines.
- Partner with Dining Services leadership on menu development and initiatives that enhance the resident dining experience.
- Ensure dining spaces are appropriately presented for holidays and special events.
- Utilize technology and operational tools to improve efficiency and service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 35 pounds or more.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and maneuver safely throughout dining, kitchen, office, and storage areas for extended periods.
- Ability to stand on concrete flooring for extended periods.Sufficient vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to safely perform essential job functions.
- Ability to operate office and kitchen equipment and a fire extinguisher.
- Ability to assist with resident evacuation when necessary.
- Exposure to commercial kitchen environments, including heat, odors, cleaning products, and potential burns or falls.
The Experience You’ll Bring
- Associate degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Food Service Management, or a related field; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
- Minimum of six years of management experience in hospitality, dining services, or a related industry.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Comprehensive knowledge of dining room service, resident relations, food presentation, sanitation, food handling, and food safety practices.
- Ability to learn and effectively use POS systems and other applicable technology.
- ServSafe and CPR certification, or ability to obtain both within one year of employment.
- Ability to work beyond normal hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call hours as needed for emergencies or severe weather.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage the physical and emotional demands of the position.
- Willingness to receive an annual flu vaccine during flu season
Preferred
- Experience managing multiple dining venues or restaurant locations.
- Experience in senior living or long-term care.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation Range: $75,000 - $83,000 (based on relevant experience)
