SONIC Multi-Unit Leader Job Description

As a Sonic Multi-Unit Leader, you will manage the operations of all General Managers and employees within multiple SONIC drive-ins. Your responsibilities include training and supporting employees to ensure quality food is provided in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, delivering an enjoyable guest experience. Key duties include:
- Managing, training, and coaching General Managers, including conducting management orientations.
- Directing and assigning employees to meet operational standards.
- Overseeing employees and management across multiple drive-ins during shifts, ensuring all food preparation, presentation, and service meet standards.
- Ensuring compliance with employee handbook policies and practices.
- Addressing employee issues and policy violations promptly, reporting to supervisors.
- Reviewing work schedules to ensure proper staffing and service levels.
- Monitoring cost control procedures for food, labor, and inventory, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Monitoring vendor performance and taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Auditing employment and payroll records.
- Reinforcing guest-first service philosophy.
- Handling escalated guest requests and complaints respectfully.
- Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring management team members.
- Approving employee and management compensation within guidelines.
- Preparing operational reports and developing action plans for financial or sales issues.
- Developing and implementing regional marketing plans.
Additional Requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced studies preferred.
- Minimum three years of restaurant management experience, with multi-unit supervision experience required.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of recruiting, labor laws, and sanitation regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic accounting and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.
