SONIC Multi-Unit Leader Job Description

As a Sonic Multi-Unit Leader, you will manage the operations of all General Managers and employees within multiple SONIC drive-ins. You will also be responsible for training and supporting employees to ensure quality food is provided in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, ensuring our guests have an enjoyable experience at Sonic. The key responsibilities include:
- Managing, training, and coaching General Managers, including conducting management orientations.
- Directing and assigning employees to meet operational standards.
- Overseeing employees and management across multiple drive-ins, ensuring duties are performed in various stations such as Fountain & Frozen, Dresser, Front Swamp, Back Swamp, Grill, Switchboard, Expeditor, Food Prep, Carhop, Skating Carhop, and Drive-Thru, depending on store volume.
- Ensuring compliance with the employee handbook, policies, and practices.
- Addressing employee issues and policy violations promptly, reporting all incidents to the supervisor.
- Reviewing work schedules to ensure proper staffing and service levels.
- Monitoring and controlling costs related to food, labor, paper, and inventory, and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Monitoring vendor performance and taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Auditing employment and payroll records.
- Reinforcing guest-first service principles to management.
- Handling escalated guest requests and complaints professionally.
- Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring management team members to maintain proper staffing levels.
- Approving employee and management compensation within company guidelines.
- Preparing operational reports for multiple drive-ins and developing action plans for financial or sales issues.
- Developing and implementing regional marketing plans.
Additional Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced studies in business or restaurant management preferred.
- Minimum of three years in restaurant management, preferably in QSR, with shift supervision experience.
- Experience in multi-unit supervision is required.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and labor law compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and supervisory skills.
- Basic accounting and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and solve problems effectively.
- Adherence to appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards.
