SONIC Multi-Unit Leader Job Description

As a Sonic Multi-Unit Leader, you will manage the operations of all General Managers and employees within multiple SONIC drive-ins. Your responsibilities include training and supporting employees to ensure quality food is provided in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. Key duties include:
- Managing, training, and coaching General Managers, including conducting management orientation.
- Directing and assigning employees to meet operational standards.
- Overseeing employees and management across multiple drive-ins, ensuring all stations (Fountain & Frozen, Dresser, Front Swamp, Back Swamp, Grill, Switchboard, Expeditor, Food Prep, Carhop, Skating Carhop, Drive-Thru) perform their duties during shifts, maintaining standards for portion control, temperature, packaging, appearance, presentation, taste, and service.
- Ensuring compliance with employee handbook policies and practices.
- Addressing employee issues and violations promptly, reporting to supervisors as needed.
- Reviewing work schedules to maintain proper staffing levels.
- Monitoring cost control procedures for food, labor, and inventory, taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Monitoring vendor performance and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Auditing employment and payroll records.
- Reinforcing guest-first service principles.
- Responding to guest requests and complaints professionally.
- Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring management team members.
- Approving employee and management compensation within company guidelines.
- Preparing operational reports for multiple drive-ins and developing action plans for financial or sales issues.
- Developing and implementing regional marketing plans.
Additional Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced studies preferred.
- Minimum three years of restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR.
- Experience managing multiple units is required.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and employment practices.
- Understanding of labor laws and health regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and supervisory skills.
- Basic accounting and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and solve problems effectively.
- Adherence to appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards.
