Applewood Centers in Cleveland, OH seeks a Multi-Systemic Therapy for Problem Sexual Behavior (MST/PSB) Therapist Team Lead to deliver intensive MST PSB services to adolescents, work with families at home, school, and in the community, and provide backup support for the Clinical Supervisor.

Requires a Master’s degree in social work or related field and valid Ohio LSW/LPC/MFT license, plus strong leadership and cultural competency; a valid driver’s license is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or psychology or enrollment in a Master's degree program for social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or psychology required. Bachelor’s degree with valid Ohio LSW is acceptable.

JOB SUMMARY:

Multisystemic Therapy for Problem Sexual Behavior (MST/PSB) is a clinical adaptation of Multisystemic Therapy that is targeted to adolescents who have committed sexual offenses and demonstrated other problem behaviors. Under the general direction of the Clinical Supervisor or MST Program Manager, the MST/PSB Therapist Team Lead provides intensive therapeutic services for difficult delinquent youth. The MST/PSB Therapist Team Lead works with clients and their caregivers at home, school, and in the community. In addition, as a Team Lead, the therapist will provide backup duties for Clinical Supervisor or Program Manager as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Provide high-quality MST PSB Therapy based on all MST PSB Principles and their measures.
• Meet or exceed productivity targets as well as MST PSB "Ultimate Outcomes" at case discharge.
• Obtain and maintain annual Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) certification to be able to provide CANS assessment with all referrals as needed.
• Actively and consistently participate in individualized clinician development planning around identified administrative and professional growth needs. Complete clinician development plans in a timely manner
• Provide assessment, development of treatment goals and interventions, implementation of interventions, identification and targeting of barriers to treatment progress.
• Develop focused, measurable and achievable ITPs plans that are consistent with the family's identified needs and cultural assessment-cultivating and maintaining professional alignment and engagement with families.
• Collect Therapist Adherence Measures (TAMS) from all clients at assigned intervals to measure fidelity to the model.
• Identify consumer and family needs for specialized services and make appropriate referrals for assistance as indicated.
• Form and maintain collaborative working relationships with collateral professionals and/or agencies concerning individual cases.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely, legible completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
• Close cases in a timely manner, accurately completing discharge summaries and aftercare plans and related paperwork, including MST PSB treatment summaries, based on goal achievement and/or agency policy/procedure.
• Attend weekly team meetings and consultations on time and as scheduled. Be open to feedback and suggestions from others, be prepared for meetings, actively participate as a supportive team member, and maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers.
• Actively and consistently participate in quarterly MST PSB trainings.
• Maintains flexibility in scheduling to accommodate evenings for appointments as needed.
• Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for assigned consumers/families and assigned on-call coverage rotation for the team. Work collaboratively and cooperatively with other team members in providing necessary 24-hour on-call coverage for MST PSB families and back-up case coverage as necessary.
• Additional Team Lead duties include but are not limited to the following: assisting with interviewing candidates, providing backup on call duties for supervisor/program manager when needed, assisting with reviewing and providing feedback on team weeklies, serving as a mentor to new therapists, representing program in the community, and other duties as assigned by Program Manager.

OTHER DUTIES:

• Attend team meetings and consultations on time and as scheduled. Be open to feedback and suggestion from others, be prepared for meetings, actively participate as a supportive team member, and maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers.
• Incorporate supervisory suggestions and directions into clinical practice.
• Apply professional training to revise and update clinical practice.
• Collaborate with agency staff and administration on behalf of program changes.
• Participate, as required, in program and performance improvement initiatives.
• Have or maintain a good on-time attendance record.
• Perform other duties as directed.
