Job summary

Peregrine Health Corporate is seeking a Licensing and Credentialing Specialist to secure licensure and credentialing for behavioral health providers across multiple states. You will prepare license applications, manage board communications, verify credentials, and maintain current documentation to prevent lapses.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of provider credentialing, licensing, or medical staff services experience.
• Experience assembling complete credentialing files and submitting them to health systems, payers, or delegated partners.
• Working knowledge of standard credentialing documentation including state licenses, board certification, DEA and related items.
• Demonstrated follow-through with busy clinicians and ability to track multiple files simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Provider Information Intake: Collect and maintain provider data including NPI, CAQH credentials, Medicare/Medicaid numbers, employment and education history.
• State Licensure Applications: Prepare and submit initial applications and track through issuance.
• Board Correspondence: Respond to board requests and deficiency notices to resolve items promptly.
• Licensure Support Requirements: Coordinate verifications, supervision records, fingerprinting, background checks, and CE documentation.
• License Renewals: Track deadlines and renewals, ensuring timely submissions before expiration.
• Multi-State Licensure: Apply correct requirements for each state Peregrine operates in.
• Credentialing Document Collection: Obtain complete document set including ID, diplomas, transcripts, licenses, and certifications.
