Job summary

Osceola Medical Center is seeking a Specialty Clinic Assistant to support Allergist, ENT, and Urology teams. This role will involve patient care, rooming patients, scribing, vitals, EMR documentation, and immunizations, with Inbox management and patient communications.

It requires CMA/RMA/CCMA/EMT or LPN certification and BLS, with EPIC experience preferred. The position is full-time, located in Osceola, WI, with a schedule that includes alternating early shifts and routine days.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or EMT) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Clinical experience, preferred.
• Specialty Clinic Experience, preferred.
• OCHIN EPIC Experience, preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-visit planning/prepping for patient visits.
• Assist Specialty providers with administering patient care.
• Use AIDET with every customer encounter.
• Prepare patients for providers examination, obtaining vital signs and other physical measurements, recording accurately in the EMR system.
• Document in the EMR all interactions with both patients and clinicians when medical direction is given.
• Reviewing education with patients and families when advised by clinician.
• Tracks orders, results, and phone messages for each Specialist to appropriate sites both incoming and outgoing.
• Assists with scheduling and registration to ensure patient’s needs are met.
