Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a Part-time Multi-Skilled Technician to work casual/night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am EST. The role supports RN staff and provides essential patient care across Mount Carmel facilities.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, and perform EKG/phlebotomy as directed, with a commitment to the patient experience and team collaboration. Weekend and holiday rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of EKG and Phlebotomy courses and initial clinical competency upon hire.
• BLS healthcare provider certification required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care and ADLs.
• Keep patient rooms stocked, cleaned, and orderly.
• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and I&O.
• Perform EKG and phlebotomy as delegated by Staff RN.
• Document patient data accurately and completely.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position Details

• 7:00 pm - 7:30 am EST


• Must work a minimum of 36 hours in a 6-week scheduling period


• Weekend and Holiday Rotation Required

You will float to the following hospitals:

• Mount Carmel Dublin


• Mount Carmel East


• Mount Carmel Grove City


• Mount Carmel New Albany


• Mount Carmel St. Ann's

Position Purpose

The Multi-Skilled Technician under the direction of a Registered Nurse, will provide patient care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. This position is key to providing a best-in-class patient experience and plays a vital role in the care of our top priority - our patients.

What you will do

• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, including: bathing/skin care (I & II), grooming, and eating.


• Keep assigned patient rooms stocked, cleaned, and orderly


• Obtain vital signs, including: height, weight, blood glucose levels, and I&O


• Perform EKG and phlebotomy as delegated by Staff RN


• Document patient data accurately and completely


• All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent


• Completion of EKG and Phlebotomy courses and initial clinical competency course upon hire or transfer


• Completion and maintenance of BLS healthcare provider training


• Experience: Previous patient care experience and/or technical education in health-related field preferred
