Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System seeks a Multi-Skilled Technician (MST) for its Float Pool in Columbus, Ohio. This casual/night shift position requires working at multiple Mount Carmel campuses, including Dublin, East, Grove City, New Albany, and St. Ann's.

The MST provides patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy as delegated. Requires HS diploma, EKG/Phlebotomy training, and BLS; weekend/holiday rotation applies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of EKG and Phlebotomy courses required or completed on hire/transfer.
• BLS healthcare provider training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living (bathing/skin care, grooming, eating).
• Keep assigned patient rooms stocked, cleaned, and orderly.
• Obtain vital signs (height, weight, glucose, I&O).
• Perform EKG and phlebotomy as delegated by Staff RN.
• Document patient data accurately and completely.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position Details:

• Casual/Night Shift
• 7:00 pm - 7:30 am EST
• Must work a minimum of 36 hours in a 6-week scheduling period
• Weekend and Holiday Rotation Required

You will float to the following hospitals:

• Mount Carmel Dublin
• Mount Carmel East
• Mount Carmel Grove City
• Mount Carmel New Albany
• Mount Carmel St. Ann's

Position Purpose:

The Multi-SkilledTechnician under the direction of a Registered Nurse, will provide patient care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional,socialand spiritual needs. This position is key to providing a best-in-class patient experience and plays a vital role in the care of our top priority - our patients.

Whatyou willdo:

• Assistpatients withpersonal care and activities of daily living,including:bathing/skin care (I & II), grooming, and eating.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of EKG and Phlebotomy courses and initial clinical competencycourseupon hire or transfer
• Completion and maintenance of BLS healthcare provider training
• Experience:Previouspatient care experience and/or technical education in health-related field preferred
