Job summary

SAC Incorporated is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment, electrical and plumbing systems, and building facilities. Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial or facility maintenance.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Experience with hand and power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking/work order systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC).
• Create maintenance schedules on equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic issues.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and unplanned downtime.
• Work closely with machine operators to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance logs/records.
• Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to identify and address safety hazards.
• Follow all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
• Assist with installation of new equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with production/operations teams to minimize disruptions.
• Perform basic carpentry, painting, and general facility upkeep as needed.
• Assist with other various maintenance tasks around the facility as needed.
• Take direction and communicate effectively with other team members and managers.
• Attendance and punctuality are a must.
