Midwest Refrigerated Services, Inc. is seeking a Safety & Compliance Specialist to lead safety, health and regulatory programs across multiple warehouse facilities in the Milwaukee area. You will implement and validate policy adherence and drive collaboration among teams, management, and customers.

The role emphasizes incident investigation, recordkeeping, and continuous improvement in food safety and GMP practices, with travel between sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety management, OSH or EHS preferred.
• Strong background in Safety Management and compliance with regulations.
• Experience overseeing multiple sites and warehouse teams.
• Experience with food handling and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety‑focused culture and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Train staff on SOPs, food safety requirements, hazard prevention and forklift certs.
• Investigate workplace incidents and maintain safety records and OSHA logs.
• Oversee HACCP, GMP, allergen control and sanitation standards.
• Foster relationships with employees, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Monitor equipment use and maintain operational standards across sites.
• Lead audits and support visits from officials and partners.
• Travel to multiple facilities as needed.
