Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to lead inventory control across multiple sites, coordinating production activities and optimizing stock levels. The role requires strong SAP MM/IM proficiency, data-driven leadership, and the ability to drive improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory control, with a focus on multi-site management.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience leading a team of inventory professionals.
• APICS Certifications – CPIM and CSCP a plus.
• Expert-level proficiency in SAP (MM/IM) and forecasting tools within SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.
• Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with demand planning and forecasting methodologies.
• Knowledge of inventory control best practices and principles.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
• US resident eligible for US Gov't Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Multi-Site Inventory Management: Develop and implement inventory control strategies across multiple locations.
• Forecasting & Demand Planning: Lead the development of accurate inventory forecasts with cross-functional teams.
• Project Support: Manage inventory requirements for large-scale projects and coordinate with teams.
• Inventory Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data and present reports on turns, obsolescence, and accuracy.
• SAP System Management: Use SAP MM/IM to manage inventory transactions and improvements.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to inventory control processes.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of inventory control specialists.
• Cycle Counting & Physical Inventory: Support cycle counts and annual physical inventories across sites.
• Obsolete Inventory Management: Develop plans to minimize obsolete inventory and disposition items.
• Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance and support audits.
