Job summary
Har-Tru, LLC, a Charlottesville, VA-based manufacturing company, seeks a Maintenance Technician to support three facilities with routine and preventive maintenance. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, perform welding and fabrication, and assist with equipment installation while traveling between sites.
The role requires PLC programming skills, a strong safety focus, and readiness to continually learn new technologies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2–3 years' experience in Industrial Maintenance.
- Associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
Responsibilities
- Routine maintenance and inspections on plant equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Travel between the primary plant, accessory facility and acrylics facility to support production lines.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
- Perform welding and fabrication as needed for repairs and modifications.
- Assist with installation, setup and relocation of new machinery.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
- Follow OSHA safety standards and maintain proper PPE usage.
- Document maintenance and repairs for long‑term planning.
- Program, troubleshoot and modify PLC‑controlled equipment as required.
