Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety, functionality, and inviting atmosphere of our centers. You will conduct preventive maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, collaborating with staff to maintain high standards.

This role offers growth within a nationwide network of early education centers. You’ll engage vendors, manage work orders in CMMS, and support renovations and new construction while keeping centers

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, playgrounds, roofing in a multi-unit environment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment and understand preventive maintenance.
• Able to operate a company vehicle per policy.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry; handle minor plumbing.
• Conduct safety inspections of playgrounds and property.
• Assist with renovations and new construction inspections and identify capital replacement needs.
• Collaborate with center staff to promote best maintenance practices.
• Engage with local vendors for complex repairs and monitor performance.
• Order materials, create/update work orders, and track status in CMMS.
