Job summary

New Horizon Family Health Services in Greenville, SC seeks a Certified Medical Assistant Specialist to support the clinical team across multiple sites, ensuring efficient patient flow and adherence to clinic procedures. The CMA will assist in training new staff and maintaining high standards under MD/charge nurse supervision.

The role emphasizes EHR proficiency, patient-centered care, and collaboration with nursing and management to meet productivity goals and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of outpatient primary care experience providing direct patient care.
• Must maintain a current and active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification and program compliance as required by SC and NHFHS.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop skills in using the approved EHR, Chart Prep, Nursing Procedures, Standing Orders, Labs, Patient Flow, and Referral Tracking.
• Cover all New Horizon sites based on coverage needs.
• Obey safety and driving rules for traveling to sites.
• Provide patient/family education per the care plan.
• Support provider productivity and patient care through clinical support duties.
• Assist in staff development and training initiatives for Patient-Centered Medical Home processes.
