Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Multi Services Technician to support safe, reliable facilities across our Colorado hospitals and clinics. You will perform routine maintenance, basic repairs, and preventive checks on building systems and non-clinical equipment to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

You will respond to work orders, assist with room setups and minor environmental tasks, and follow strict safety and infection-control standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • EPA Section 608 certification preferred if HVAC work is performed.
  • OSHA 10- or 30-hour safety training preferred.
  • Healthcare environment or facilities maintenance certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine facility and equipment maintenance in clinical and non-clinical areas.
  • Complete basic repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems within scope.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, safety checks, and minor troubleshooting on hospital equipment.
  • Respond to service tickets and urgent requests to support uninterrupted patient care.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to schedule work with minimal disruption.
  • Document work performed, parts used, and maintenance records in CMMS or logs.
  • Assist vendors and specialized technicians during inspections and major repairs.
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards in a healthcare environment.
  • Support room setups, relocations, and light custodial or environmental tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with teammates to identify facility issues and improve reliability.
  • Basic electrical repair.
  • Basic plumbing repair.
  • General building maintenance.
  • HVAC basics and filter changes.
  • Use of hand and power tools.
  • Preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Reading work orders and maintenance logs.
  • Safety and infection-control practices.
  • CMMS or digital work order systems.

Education
