Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking a Day-shift Courier in Flagstaff, AZ to pick up and transport specimens, reports and supplies across multiple routes, ensuring timely delivery and accurate handling.

You will maintain professional client service, communicate with dispatch, and perform daily vehicle checks while following safety standards. Previous courier experience is preferred, and a valid state driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid State driver's license, must be 18 years of age, good verbal communication skills.
• Also required is the ability to work a flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provides clients with consistent and high-quality service through effective communication, picking up of laboratory specimens, delivering lab results, supplies and branch lab deposits.
• Train new couriers on routes and possess the knowledge and skill to handle multiple routes and duties to include courier, dispatcher and hospital messenger.
• Operates company vehicle with daily vehicle inspection and safe operation per the Smith System.
• Utilize mobile data terminal to record client stops, specimen counts and route updates; strive for zero missed pickups.
• Communicates with dispatch by radio or phone on service-related issues.

Core Functions

• Provides clients with consistent and high-quality service through effective communication, picking up of laboratory specimens, delivering lab results, supplies and branch lab deposits. Ability to effectively organize reports and supply deliveries to ensure clients’ expectations are met.
• Train new couriers on routes and possess the knowledge and skill to handle multiple routes and duties to include courier, dispatcher and hospital messenger.
• Operates company vehicle. Responsibilities include daily vehicle inspection, operation the vehicle in a safe and defensive manner by utilizing the principles of the Smith System and order required maintenance.
• Utilize mobile data terminal to accurately record routine and will call client stops, specimen counts and types. Responsible for updating client route information. Multi Route couriers shall strive for zero missed pick-ups.
• Communicates with dispatch by radio, telephone on all service-related issues.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a valid State driver's license, must be 18 years of age, good verbal communication skills.
• Also required is the ability to work a flexible work schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
• Previous courier experience preferred.
