Job summary

The Shaw Group in Beaumont, TX is seeking a skilled Multi Process Combo Pipe Welder to produce high quality welds and support safe, efficient fabrication operations on site.

You will set up welding equipment, perform multi process pipe welds in various positions, and ensure welds meet engineering specs and certification standards. Shift options available (day and night) with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in GTAW, SMAW and Flux Core welding.
• Ability to certify on multi process pipe welding.
• Experience in industrial or fabrication shop environments.
• Able to read and follow welding procedures and technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality welds that meet engineering specifications and industry standards.
• Set up welding equipment to required amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse.
• Guide electrode or welding gun to achieve proper fusion, penetration, and bead profile.
• Prepare materials by cleaning, grinding, grooving, or preheating as required.
• Assemble, align, and tack components using fixtures or positioning equipment.
• Inspect and finish welds by removing slag, spatter, and excess material.
• Complete required performance tests to meet company and industry certification standards.
