Job summary

Ground Force/Mega of Albuquerque, affiliated with Federal Signal Corporation, seeks skilled fabricator/welder to execute high-quality welds in multiple positions on heavy equipment. Starting wage $23-$28/hour based on experience, with opportunities to grow through test-based progression.

Position requires reading drawings, operating plasma cutter and grinders, and working in confined spaces. Pre-employment drug testing and a safety-first culture are emphasized, with a broad benefits package

Qualifications

• Ability to weld-wire feed in multiple positions.
• Ability to use a handheld plasma cutter, handheld grinder, and manual flame cutting torch.
• Fit up and assemble products.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Must be able to perform welding tests.
• Capable of standing, bending, and climbing for long periods of time.
• Capable of lifting up to forty pounds and pushing/pulling/dragging suction hose on to tanks.

Responsibilities

• Weld in multiple positions on tanks and assemblies.
• Operate cranes to position parts and assemblies during production.
• Maintain safety and quality in a high-noise, high-temperature environment.
• Assist other production employees as deemed necessary by management.
