Job description

The Department of Surgery, Section of Transplantation, is seeking candidates for a faculty position at the Clinical Assistant Professor Level. Clinical responsibilities may include Kidney, Pancreas and Liver Transplantation. Expertise in robotics, pediatrics and/or hemodialysis access is desired but not required. Candidates should be committed to clinical excellence, and dedicated to teaching, innovation, and scholarship. Strongest consideration will be given to candidates who bring diverse perspective, background, and training to the position and our Section.

The transplant program at the University of Michigan is one of the oldest and largest in the country. Our group takes pride in our collaborative team approach and is dedicated to the training of our American Society of Transplant Surgeons abdominal transplant fellows.


Candidate must be board eligible or board certified in General Surgery and must have completed an ASTS approved transplant surgery fellowship.Candidate must hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the State of Michigan and Federal DEA registration.Candidates should have appropriate qualifications for consideration of the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or Assistant Professor.
