The University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a Research Instructor in the Department of Surgery and associated institutes. The role centers on leading translational multi-omics studies spanning lipidomics, metabolomics, proteomics, and NMR, with close ties to the HTGC core and NASA/NIH-funded programs.

You will develop and optimize analytical workflows, mentor trainees, and contribute to grant proposals, publications, and collaborative projects across space biomedicine and trauma

Qualifications

• Master’s or equivalent degree in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, biotechnology, or a related field; candidates nearing completion will be considered.
• Analytical, computational, and translational strengths in lipidomics, metabolomics, proteomics, NMR, bioinformatics, and multi-omics data integration.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support multi-omics research at the intersection of space biomedicine and trauma biology.
• Collaborate with the HTGC core to process samples, acquire LC-MS/MS and NMR data, and develop analytical pipelines.
• Contribute to grant development, manuscript preparation, and dissemination of results.
