Job Summary
Under the direction of the supervisor, this position must perform all functions related to a minimum of two modalities: including CT or MRI or serve the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties. Performs high quality procedures that require ingenuity, initiative and independent judgment. Duties include and are not limited to performing routine test, monitoring the quality of tests, and obtaining maintenance service on equipment. This position may require providing technical and imaging support at any HonorHealth facility in the network. Technologist must routinely perform procedures in these modalities.
Essential Functions
- Perform all functions related to a minimum of two of the following modalities: Radiology, CT or MRI or serve the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties; Assist physician in a variety of procedures within specified guidelines as demonstrated by documentation; Demonstrates proficiency in performing procedures; All procedures will be conducted in accordance with proper procedures and within specified timeframes as ordered and directed; Assist physicians with procedures as needed; Obtain accurate and pertinent clinical and patient history within specified guidelines; Answer patient questions and explain procedures; Operate equipment within specifications as demonstrated by observation and audit; Obtain and evaluate images for technical quality assurance factors including image laterality marking and annotation as required by specified procedure protocols; Utilize RIS, PACS and other ancillary image management systems as needed.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily workflow for the department's activities; Maintain equipment in efficient operating order; Perform and document all required quality control testing; Contact service for repair and maintenance as directed; Rotate throughout the department as staffing and volume dictates; Participate in orientation, training, and in‑servicing of staff, as needed; Maintain an orderly, clean and safe environment of patients and staff in assigned area; Maintain stock and inventory as assigned.

Education
- Associate's Degree - Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED - Required
Experience
- >10 months clinical CT, MRI, Hybrid OR or one (1) year general radiology experience - Required
- 2 years experience in two or more modalities - Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Current and valid American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Completion of an ARRT accredited Radiology General Procedures program or US military Radiology General Procedures training program - Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Required
- Current and valid CT or MR license - Preferred
- Radiology Tech (ARRT) License Current and valid Registered Technologist (RT) license - Required
- National certification in specialty field - 1 of the following: ARRT, ARMRIT, ARRT-MR, ARRT-CT - Required
