Job summary

HonorHealth seeks Radiology Technologists specializing in CT and MRI for night shift per diem coverage. Responsibilities include performing CT/MRI procedures, assisting physicians, and maintaining high-quality imaging across the Radiology department.

Requires ARRT (CT/MRI) current, AZ CRT license, and BLS certification; High School diploma with Associate's degree preferred. Candidates should be able to rotate across modalities and provide patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT or MRI or support Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties
• Assist physicians during procedures
• Obtain clinical history and explain procedures to patients
• Operate imaging equipment within specifications and ensure image quality
• Use RIS, PACS and related image management systems
• Plan, schedule and coordinate daily department workflow
• Maintain equipment and stock, conduct QC testing
• Rotate through department per staffing needs

Responsibilities

• Job Summary: Under the direction of the supervisor, this position must perform all functions related to a minimum of two modalities: including CT or MRI or serve the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties.
• Must perform all functions related to a minimum of two of the following modalities: Radiology, CT or MRI or serve the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties.
• Assists physician in a variety of procedures within specified guidelines as demonstrated by documentation.
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing procedures.
• All procedures will be conducted in accordance with proper procedures and within specified timeframes as ordered and directed.
• Assists physicians with procedures as needed.
• Obtains accurate and pertinent clinical and patient history within specified guidelines.
• Answers patient questions and explains procedures.
• Operates equipment within specifications as demonstrated by observation and audit.
• Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors including image laterality marking and annotation as required by specified procedure protocols.
• Utilizes RIS, PACS and other, ancillary image management systems as needed.
• Plans, schedules, and coordinates daily workflow for the department’s activities.
• Maintains equipment in efficient operating order.
• Performs and documents all required quality control testing.
• Contacts service for repair and maintenance as directed.
• Rotates throughout the department as staffing and volume dictates.
• Participates in orientation, training, and in‑servicing of staff, as needed.
• Maintains an orderly, clean and safe environment of patients and staff in assigned area.
• Maintains stock and inventory as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Associate's Degree Preferred

Experience

• 10 months clinical CT, MRI, Hybrid OR or one (1) year general radiology experience Required
• 2 years experience in two or more modalities Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Current and valid
• American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Completion of an ARRT accredited Radiology General Procedures program or US military Radiology General Procedures training program Required
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRTLC) Current and valid AZ CRT Licensure Required
• Radiology Tech (ARRT) License Current and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (RT) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required
• If CT is secondary modality - CTP (Computed Tomography preceptor license) and achieve ARRT CT registry and AZ CTCT licensure within 1 year. Required
• If MRI is secondary modality - ARRT or ARMRIT MRI certification/registry Required
