Job summary

Sanford Health in Chamberlain, SD is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams and deliver high-quality images while adhering to radiation safety guidelines.

You will position patients, operate imaging equipment, and ensure EMR navigation. Opportunities may include mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA procedures; ARRT certification and at least one additional modality are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an educational program accepted by ARRT is required.
• Working knowledge of radiographic principles including positioning, image processing, quality control and radiation protection.
• Registration with ARRT is required.
• Must have at least one additional ARRT-recognized modality (CT, MR, Mammo, BD).
• NDMIRT licensure if working in North Dakota.
• ARRT certification within 60 days of hire if working in South Dakota.
• Iowa permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public Health if working in Iowa.
• CNA certification may be required within eight weeks for some clinic locations.
• BLS certification within six weeks of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging examinations producing quality images.
• Operates imaging equipment per provider requests and guidelines.
• Ensures accurate patient positioning and proper radiation protection.
• Delivers patient care and education before, during, and after imaging.
• Navigates the EMR system.
• May perform mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement and DEXA procedures.
