Job summary

Nexstar Media Group's WHO 13 in Des Moines is seeking a dynamic on-air journalist to engage audiences across TV and online platforms. You will write, shoot, edit, and deliver compelling news stories for broadcast and digital formats while reporting live during breaking events.

You must handle deadline pressure, weather challenges, and enterprise stories with accuracy and creativity. A valid driver's license is required; Final Cut Pro experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• Computer literate. Experience with Final Cut Pro preferred
• Knowledge of social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, etc.
• 2 years television newsroom experience
• 2 years news reporting/writing experience preferred.
• 4-year college degree preferred
• Work under extreme pressure, deadlines, and adverse weather conditions
• Desk work, walking, and standing.
