Job summary

Paramount's KCNC/TV in Denver is seeking an aggressive and creative MMJ for the morning news block to serve the community through journalism. You will shoot, write, edit, and report with urgency, quality and storytelling depth.

Ideal candidates have on-air experience, strong live shot skills, and a robust social media presence across platforms. College degree or equivalent experience is required, with a flexible schedule including early mornings, holidays and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Shoot, write and edit packages for daily newscasts
• Strong live shot skills a must
• Generate story ideas and participate in editorial meetings/Produce content for social media and streaming service.
• Report scripted and unscripted, with clarity, accuracy, and confidence/cover breaking news with a sense of urgency
• Collaborate effectively with a wide range of personnel to create compelling content/ Develop and execute enterprise content on a consistent basis
• Maintain a steadfast commitment to accuracy and fairness
• Write clearly and interestingly and use video and graphics to illustrate facts and ideas
• Appear at public and station events, as required/Establish and maintain relationships/sources in the community

Qualifications:

• Three years' experience on air
• Must be able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and have the ability to solve problems quickly
• Must have a very strong social media skills and able to contribute on all platforms
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, holidays & ON CALL shifts
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

College Degree required or equivalent experience
