Job summary
Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is seeking a Worship Minister/Leader to guide a multi-generational church in planning and delivering comprehensive music ministry. You will lead worship services, mentor volunteers, and supervise AV and youth/children’s music programs under the Senior Pastor and Music Ministry team.
The role requires strong faith, 5+ years of worship leadership, and a Bachelor’s in music, with a Master’s preferred.
Qualifications
- Must be a practicing Christian with strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and alignment with church beliefs.
- Proven experience leading congregational worship, including choirs and praise teams.
- Ability to read sheet music and chart music; proficient with musical leadership across styles.
Responsibilities
- Lead and plan worship services for a multi-generational church.
- Coach and equip leaders and volunteers in the Music Ministry.
- Oversee production and programming for worship, including AV coordination.
- Develop and manage Music Ministry budget and resources.
- Plan weddings, funerals, and special services with music support.
- Collaborate with Sr. Pastor and ministry staff to align worship with the message.
