Job summary

The Meridian North and South in Indianapolis seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping to ensure curb appeal and quality apartment homes.

Under supervision, you will handle preventative maintenance, refurbishments, and respond to service requests, with weekend/on-call duties as required. This on-site role requires reliable transport and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of maintenance experience.
• CFC Type I & II preferred, 180 days from hire to obtain.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to walk grounds and apartments, stairs, lift 60 lbs., climb ladders, and perform other physical activities.
• Knowledge to complete maintenance assessments to Service Technician I standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned.
• Assist with maintenance of storage area and maintenance materials.
• Perform refurbishing and renovation of apartments per company standards.
• Walk the property daily to ensure curb appeal and quality of apartments.
• Notify Business Manager of safety concerns and participate in safety meetings.
• Assist in snow removal as required.
• Complete all service requests in accordance with company standards.
• Available for weekend work, on-call duties, and after-hours emergency service requests, 24/7 as scheduled.

Under the direction of the Maintenance Director and Property Manager, the Maintenance Tech at The Meridian North and South in Indianapolis is responsible for performing general maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping services to ensure excellent curb appeal and quality of apartment homes and responding to customer service requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintenance Services

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned
• Assist with maintenance of storage area and maintenance materials
• Perform refurbishing and renovation of apartments per company standards
• Walk the property daily to ensure curb appeal and quality of apartments
• Notify Business Manager of any safety concerns and participate in safety meetings
• Responsible for knowledge of property specific problems such as asbestos
• Assist in snow removal as required
• Perform other duties as required
• Maintain accurate record of all tasks completed Customer Service
• Complete all service requests in accordance with company standards
• Available for weekend work, on-call duties, and after-hours emergency service requests, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week as scheduled

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• CFC Type I & II preferred, 180 days from hire to obtain
• Valid Driver’s License
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and
• Ability to walk the grounds and apartments, ascend stairs around the property, lift 60 lbs., climb ladders over 10 feet, and perform other general physical activities such as bending, kneeling, pushing
• Sufficient knowledge to thoroughly complete maintenance assessment up to the standards of a Service Technician I
