Job summary

Reynolds Consumer Products in Huntersville, NC seeks a Multi-Craft Mechanic-Thermoforming to maintain plastics manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to keep production running safely.

You will work a day shift, collaborate with operations and engineering, and contribute to reliability improvements. Previous plastics experience and ability to read mechanical drawings are required; CMMS experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience with plastics-related machinery.
  • 3 years’ experience as a shift mechanic.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing plastics manufacturing equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment to minimize production downtime.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment.
  • Inspect, rebuild, and replace mechanical components to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Support maintenance activities for production equipment and plant support systems.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues.
  • Assist electricians with equipment repairs when mechanical support is needed.
  • Support maintenance activities at other Reynolds Consumer Products Jacksonville facilities as business needs require.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, and maintenance processes through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow established safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.

We currently have an opportunity for a Multi-Craft Mechanic-Thermoforming at our Manufacturing Plant in Huntersville, NC.

Pay Rate: $29.69-$50.96/hour

E shift: M-F 7:00AM-3:00PM

Responsibilities

As a Multi-Craft Mechanic, you will help keep our manufacturing equipment running safely and efficiently. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and complete repairs that support continuous production. Working closely with operations and maintenance teams, you will play an important role in improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting a safe work environment.

Requirements
Education
  • High school diploma or GED.
Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience with plastics-related machinery
  • 3 years’ experience as a shift mechanic
  • Experience maintaining and repairing plastics manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience performing mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, and other industrial mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and equipment documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
  • Associate degree or technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience in a high-speed manufacturing or industrial production environment.
  • Experience supporting preventive or predictive maintenance programs.
  • Welding, machining, fabrication, or precision alignment experience.
  • Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
