Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Aiken, SC is seeking a Service Technician to support a 24/7 manufacturing line.

Applicants should have a multi-craft background in Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics, with an Associates degree or equivalent and 3+ years maintenance experience, plus relevant PLC/hydraulic/pneumatic knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent in electronics/technology or related field and 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Multi-craft experience across electrical, mechanical and electronics.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime.
  • Read blueprints, schematics and manuals; perform calibration of devices and loops.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, drives, hydraulics and pneumatics; use tools like hoists, grinders and welding equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering to install, test, and release equipment.

Here in Aiken, SC, our team produces approximately 37,000 light truck and passenger tires a day for the original equipment & replacement market.Service Technicians must be extremely flexible to support a wide range of maintenance activities. Our Service Technician become the subject matter experts in a specific production department in our plant. When problems arise with our manufacturing equipment, the Service Technician on shift will troubleshoot and repair the system as quickly as possible to maximize production up-time. The Service Technician's on days will group and perform periodic scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on all manufacturing equipment. This facility operates on a 24/7 basis. Candidates will be assigned either day or rotating shifts.Competitive CompensationService Technicians have starting wages between $32-$37 per hour depending on experience and the opportunity to progress their hourly rate to expert level at $39/hr.
