Job summary
Shurtape Technologies, LLC is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to setup, install, troubleshoot, repair and test complex mechanical/electrical equipment across production and process controls. Responsibilities include maintaining preventive maintenance programs, supporting electrical and mechanical work, and ensuring safe operation of plant equipment.
The role requires strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, familiarity with OSHA/PSM standards, and the ability to work with minimal
Qualifications
- Capable of performing low-to-high voltage electrical work and wiring complex circuits.
- Capable of mechanical work and basic plumbing/carpentry.
- Proficient with basic hand tools, power tools, meters and oscilloscopes.
- Able to troubleshoot complex equipment and unfamiliar systems.
- Familiar with manufacturing environment and safety practices (OSHA/PSM).
Responsibilities
- Review and report daily activities.
- Assist maintenance leadership in installing and repairing equipment.
- Notify when additional tools or diagnostic support is needed.
- Participate in preventive maintenance programs.
- Maintain safe work practices and policies at all times.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of critical components.
- Perform other duties as directed by Maintenance Manager.
- Capable of operating a lift truck and holding a valid driver's license.

The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for setup, installation, troubleshooting, repair and testing of complex mechanical/electrical equipment including automatic machines and process controls, motor control centers and related controls, computer control systems, some with human/machine interfaces, as well as basic plant electrical equipment; this includes preventive maintenance activities related to production and building equipment, machinery and components.
- Reviews and accurately reports personal activities on a daily, or more frequent, basis
- Assists the Maintenance Lead Person and/or the Maintenance Manager in determining proper installation and/or repair procedures for mechanical, electrical and/or electronic equipment
- Notifies the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Lead Person if additional hand, power or electronic diagnostic tools are required
- Participates in a preventive maintenance program as directed by Maintenance supervision
- Assures that safe work practices and company policies are adhered to at all times
- Assists Maintenance Lead Person and/or Maintenance Manager in establishing and maintaining optimum inventory levels of critical components
- Performs other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager
- Capable of operating lift truck
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license

- Capable of performing low-to-high voltage electrical work, laying out and wiring complex circuits with large numbers of connections, troubleshooting and correcting faulty logic and control circuits, as well as carrying out installations, repairs and tests on virtually all production and plant equipment
- Capable of performing light-to-heavy mechanical work, general plumbing, general carpentry and repair.
- Proficient in the use of basic hand tools, power tools, volt / ohm / amp meters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical diagnostic equipment as may be necessary
- Capable of troubleshooting complex equipment
- Familiar with manufacturing environment and equipment
- Familiar with company philosophy, procedures, and practices
- Possesses good mechanical/electrical/electronic aptitude
- Mandatory participation in pay-for-skill program
- Possesses a strong work ethic and is able to function effectively with minimal supervision
- Basic PC literacy
- Familiarity with industry safe work practices, including various OSHA and PSM-derived programs.
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Additional education –or- work experience (one of three areas below or equivalent experience as determined by the maintenance manager required)
- Associates degree in one of the following majors:
- Electrical Technology
- Electronics Technology
- Mechanical Technology
- Military - 2 years minimum service with training in one of the following fields:
- Electrical Technology
- Electronics Technology
- Mechanical Technology
- On the Job Training – 3 years minimum in one of the following areas:
- Industrial maintenance – electrical
- Industrial maintenance – electronics
- Industrial maintenance – mechanical
