Job summary

24 Hour Fitness seeks an Equipment Technician to service multiple clubs, perform diagnostics and on-site repairs for cardio, strength, and functional equipment. You’ll complete preventive maintenance tasks, manage parts inventory, and log activity in maintenance systems.

You will collaborate with GMs, Facility Technicians and DRMM, attend trainings, and assist with emergency repairs as needed. Strong mechanical skills and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities with attention to safety.
• Ability to read schematics and equipment manuals to diagnose issues.
• Basic computer literacy including email and maintenance systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• 2+ years of equipment repair or related mechanical work in fitness industry preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct walkthroughs and diagnostics of fitness equipment across clubs.
• Perform on-site corrective repairs on cardio, strength, and functional equipment.
• Complete and document PM tasks per manufacturer and company schedules.
• Maintain parts inventory and coordinate reorders with DRMM.
• Log repairs in ServiceChannel or other maintenance systems.
• Collaborate with OEMs and vendors for specialized parts or support.
• Attend area trainings and vendor workshops to stay current.
• Provide repair status updates to DRMM and GMs.
• Train club staff on basic care and early failure reporting.
• Support emergency repairs outside regular hours if required.
