Job summary

Acuren is seeking MT/PT/UTT Level II Technicians for Birmingham, AL and surrounding areas. This is a local callout with travel up to 50% across multiple industrial environments including Petro-Chem, Pulp & Paper, and refineries.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma, Level II MT/PT/UTT certification, and strong NDT method knowledge with proven report-writing ability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Level II MT/PT/UTT in MT, PT or UTT.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to perform NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment and testing standards.
• Experience in report writing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
• Interpret radiographs, CRT or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators.
• Organize and report test results.
• Perform specialized inspections.
• May instruct and supervise others.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Acuren is currently recruiting for MT/PT/UTT Level II Technicians to support operations in Birmingham AL and surrounding areas. THIS WILL BE A LOCAL CALLOUT/TRAVEL POSITION.

Successful candidates must be able to travel up to 50% throughout Augusta GAand surrounding areas. (The environments will be Corn/Agricultural, Petro-Chem, Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Gas Plants, Refineries, Pipelines and Pharmaceuticals.)
