Job summary

East Alabama Medical Center is seeking a Multi Care Tech (MCT) to support nursing staff, assist with daily living activities, and monitor patients' vital signs in a fast-paced unit.

The MCT assists with activities of daily living, taking vital signs and other indicated specimens or measures, documenting observations as needed and assures the primary nurse is updated in a timely manner of any deviations from normal parameters.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 10 years of relevant experience.
• N/A.
• Required Registration/License/Certification.
• BLS within 90 days of DOH/Transfer.
• Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program or certified medical assistant program.
• 1 year experience in acute care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living and takes vital signs.
• Documents observations and reports deviations to the primary nurse.
• Works with professional staff to ensure smooth unit operations.

The MCT assists with the activities of daily living, taking vital signs and other indicated specimens or measures, documenting observations as needed and assures the primary nurse is updated in a timely manner of any deviations from normal parameters. The MCT works with the professional staff as a team to contribute to the smooth running of the unit.
