Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a MuleSoft Tech Lead for a hybrid role in the United States, with 2 days per week in a Cognizant office in San Francisco, CA. You will design, build, and maintain MuleSoft-based integrations and APIs across enterprise applications.

You will lead API lifecycle, ensure security, and mentor engineers while collaborating with utilities and cloud teams to deliver timely solutions.

Qualifications

• 10–13 years of enterprise integration experience.
• Proven leadership in designing and delivering complex, business‑critical solutions.
• MuleSoft certification or equivalent enterprise integration credential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable integration solutions using MuleSoft and AWS Kiro.
• Drive the end‑to‑end API lifecycle through API Manager and MuleSoft capabilities.
• Define reusable API-led integration patterns, frameworks, payload structures, and security standards.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership for solution architecture, development, troubleshooting, code reviews, testing, and QA across MuleSoft and AWS components.
• Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, logging, monitoring, and alerting controls.
• Optimize performance, availability, and resilience of integrations supporting outage workflows.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and cloud teams to translate requirements into integration designs.
• Maintain architecture docs, mapping specs, and runbooks, mentoring engineers.
