Job summary

ICF is seeking a MuleSoft Developer to build integration solutions on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform for federal projects. This role is fully remote within the United States, with occasional travel to a client site in West Virginia as needed.

You will collaborate with Biz Analysts and development teams, design data models and APIs, implement DataWeave transformations, and contribute to a disciplined CI/CD workflow in a fast-paced agile setting.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• 3+ years hands-on MuleSoft 4 experience.
• 2+ years Java/JEE and related Java stack.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data models, integration flows, and technical specs.
• Build and maintain integration solutions on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Create non-MuleSoft integrations (SFTP, Data Loader, Salesforce Connect, etc.).
• Create RAML specifications as API contracts.
• Develop and consume APIs for real-time and batch data exchange.
• Test and optimize APIs for performance, reliability, and resource use.
• Work in an agile environment delivering designs, code, and docs.
• Support MuleSoft-based integrations across enterprise systems.
• Implement data transformation with DataWeave for consistent formats.

Job Location

This position is fully remote within the U.S.; occasional travel to the client’s Kearneysville, WV office may be required.

What You Will Be Doing

• Collaborate with stakeholders, Business Analysts, and development teams to define data models, integration flows, and detailed technical specifications.
• Build and maintain integration solutions on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
• Create other non-MuleSoft integrations such as SFTP, Data Loader, Salesforce Connect, etc.
• Create RAML Specifications as API contracts for development
• Develop and consume APIs to enable real‑time and batch data exchange between platforms
• Test and improve performance of the APIs in terms of response time, reliability and resource usage
• Work within an agile project management structure to deliver necessary designs, code and documentation
• Support the design, development, and maintenance of MuleSoft-based integrations across enterprise systems
• Implement data transformation logic (e.g., DataWeave) to ensure consistent data formats across systems

Required Skills

• U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years
• Active MuleSoft Developer certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in MuleSoft 4
• 2+ years of experience in Java, JEE and related Java technology stack

Desired Skills

• An understanding of the Salesforce platform architecture and the Salesforce Core and Public Sector Solutions data models.
• Experience in MuleSoft's Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Platform which includes Design Center, Runtime Manager, API Manager, Exchange, etc.
• Strong system integration-related experience, especially supporting large Salesforce projects.
• Experience with MuleSoft connectors
• Experience with REST Web Services, JMS, Spring
• Experience with ESB solutions
• Experience with GitHub, GitActions, and working in a disciplined CI/CD pipeline.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$98,614.00 - $167,644.00
