Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an Architect for MuleSoft to provide architectural leadership for platforms and infrastructure powering distributed services. You will define the technical vision, coordinate with engineering, product, security, and operations to create scalable, resilient solutions across global teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years designing large-scale software or infrastructure, deep AWS/Kubernetes/Docker expertise, and strong API architecture knowledge.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing and building large-scale software, cloud, or infrastructure systems with senior technical leadership across multiple teams.
• Deep expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and EKS, and strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and API architectures.
• Strong communication of architectural concepts to technical and executive audiences; proven ability to build consensus and mentor senior technical talent.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the architecture for MuleSoft infrastructure and platform services, balancing scalability, availability, security, performance, and cost across cloud platforms, Kubernetes, networking, and data stores.
• Lead architecture reviews and collaborate with engineering leaders, product managers, security, and SRE to evaluate tradeoffs and drive solutions across teams.
• Develop strategies for modernizing legacy infrastructure with high availability, disaster recovery, and reduced blast radius for globally distributed systems.
• Produce architecture documentation, reference architectures, and technical standards to guide scalable decisions.
