Job summary

CapTech is seeking a Mulesoft Architect to design, develop, and deliver high‑quality enterprise integrations and API‑driven solutions. You will work with clients to understand needs, advise on architectural direction, and lead delivery across the full SDLC in an Agile environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross‑functional teams, mentorship of architects and developers, and ongoing learning through internal programs and training to stay at the forefront of middleware and integration

Qualifications

• 10+ years software development experience.
• Experience with MuleSoft 4.x at a high architectural level.
• Project experience with MuleSoft Integrations.
• Extensive knowledge of Integration patterns.
• Experience creating Mule applications in Anypoint Studio.
• Ability to design APIs and publish to Anypoint Exchange.
• Familiarity with designing APIs in RAML.
• API Development using REST and/or SOAP.
• Experience integrating Enterprise applications such as Salesforce, SAP, Workday, Oracle ERP.
• Familiarity with microservice architectures, design patterns, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and/or GCP a plus.
• Experience with relational databases and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with LLMs in production settings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver a technical solution that meet the unique needs of our clients.
• Partner with clients on cross‑functional, team‑based projects to deliver scalable MuleSoft solutions across the full SDLC using Agile methodologies.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, managing architectural scope while aligning solutions with business goals.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, setting clear expectations and guiding decisions.
• Create quality deliverables to communicate technical solutions to appropriate audiences.
• Leverage CapTech’s internal programs and self-directed training to continually develop industry relevant knowledge.
• Mentor architects and developers through architecture reviews and communities of practice.
• Participate in technical pre‑sales activities, including solution design, estimations, and delivery scoping for prospective clients.
• Gain exposure to a variety of clients, business models, and industry verticals.

Specific responsibilities for the Mulesoft Architect position include:

• Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver a technical solution that meet the unique needs of our clients.
• Partner with clients on cross‑functional, team‑based projects to deliver scalable Mulesoftsolutions across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, managing architectural scope while aligning technical solutions with business goals
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, setting clear expectations and guiding decision‑making
• Create quality deliverables to communicate technical solutions to appropriate audiences.
• Leverage CapTech’s internal programs and self-directed training to continually develop industry relevant knowledge and skills.
• Communicate effectively to team members with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
• Demonstrate technical thought leadership by contributing to architectural standards, best practices, and reusable accelerators
• Mentor architects and developers through architecture reviews, communities of practice, and ongoing knowledge sharing
• Participate in technical pre‑sales activities, including solution design, estimations, and delivery scoping for prospective clients
• Gain exposure to a variety of clients, business models, and industry verticals

Qualifications

Specific qualifications for the Mulesoft Architect position include:

• Experience with MuleSoft 4.x at a high architectural level
• Project experience with MuleSoft Integrations
• 10+ years software development experience
• Extensive knowledge of Integration patterns
• Experience creating Mule applications in Anypoint Studio
• Ability to design APIs and publish to Anypoint Exchange
• Familiarity with designing APIs in RAML
• Applied knowledge of API Development using REST and/or SOAP
• Experience integrating Enterprise applications such as Salesforce, SAP, Workday, Oracle ERP
• Familiarity with microservice architectures, design patterns, and monitoring tools
• Experience with cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and/or GCP a plus
• Experience with relational database technologies, both traditional and current (NoSQL)
• Experience with the CI/CD pipeline
• Experience working with LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Mistral, etc.) in production settingExperience with prompt engineering, MCP and RAG, and agentic AI architectures
• Strong understanding of conversational UX and prompt evaluation metrics
• Experience with agentic frameworks in practice (langchain, n8n, pydantic, etc)
• Experience with vibe coding and multi-agents
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise security practices
