Responsibilities

• Repair machinery, building, and electrical items as needed.
• Assign maintenance jobs and instruct teams in proper procedures.
• Reinstall parts after sanitation to start production in both areas of the facility.
• Start each piece of equipment and ensure proper performance; make repairs as needed.
• Check scales to ensure weighing capability and make repairs as needed.
• Start refrigeration system and monitor pressures and temperatures.
• Remove parts at sanitation start to allow cleaning.
• Answer radio calls throughout the shift.
• Perform preventative maintenance while plant is down.
• Follow all safety requirements including PPE usage.

Examples:

This position is responsible for maintenance of the facility and equipment. This position is also responsible to lead a small group effectively, ensuring that all plant needs, and manager/supervisor instructions are met during your shift. To be able to communicate effectively with other maintenance techs and plant management. Par-Fry experience a plus.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Throughout the day make repairs on all machinery, building, and electrical items as breakdowns and problems occur.
• Assign maintenance employees to jobs and instruct them in the proper
  procedures that will ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Reinstall all parts after sanitation has finished to start production in both areas of the facility. This will require readjustment after start ups
• Start each piece of equipment and ensure proper performance, make repairs accordingly
• Check each scale to insure weighing capability and make repairs as needed
• Start the refrigeration system and observe the proper pressures and temperatures.
• Remove all necessary parts at the beginning of the sanitation cycle so equipment can be cleaned
• Answer radio calls throughout the shift
• Preventative Maintenance of equipment when plant is down
• Follow all safety requirements including using the proper PPE

Physical Requirement:

Standing and/or walking during the entire shift and wearing of proper PPE.

Requires considerable reaching, lifting, and bending

Work in wet, cold environment.
