Job summary

Stratagraph in Oklahoma City seeks an experienced Mud Logger/Mudlogging Technician to monitor the wellbore, describe drill cuttings, and report real-time geology for client projects. You will work in field conditions with rotating 12-hour shifts across Oklahoma basins.

The role requires 3–5 years mudlogging experience, strong communication, and the ability to operate in remote field locations, with on-the-job training and growth opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mudlogging experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in field conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous on-site geological monitoring of the wellbore.
• Collect, describe, and analyze drill cuttings for lithology and hydrocarbon indicators.
• Monitor gas, oil shows, and drilling parameters in real time.
• Communicate effectively with client Geologists, Engineers, and Operations teams.
• Provide detailed written and verbal reports multiple times per shift.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot mudlogging equipment daily.
• Identify geological changes and zones of interest throughout the wellbore.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
