Job summary

Victaulic seeks a skilled Machinist – Tool Maker / Mold Maker for the Mold Technology Center at Victaulic Global in Easton, PA. You will read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and operate 3-axis CNC mills and turning centers to produce rubber molds.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years technical schooling and 5+ years on-the-job experience; a high school diploma is acceptable. Day shift, 40 hours, four 10-hour shifts, with overtime as needed. Victaulic offers healthcare, 401(k), and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications and interpret GD&T.
• Use micrometers, calipers, indicators and all common machining tools.
• Able to use basic math, geometry and trigonometry.
• Set up and operate machines by installing pallets, vises, tombstones and fixtures.
• Maintain specifications by taking measurements; troubleshooting and reprogramming; replacing worn tools.
• Operate an overhead crane and drive a forklift.
• Write and edit G code and M code programs as required.
• Operate 3 axis vertical CNC mills; operate lathes and turning centers.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain equipment with preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and GD&T to determine machining requirements.
• Set up and operate CNC milling and turning equipment with fixtures.
• Write/edit G-code and M-code for variable programs.
• Maintain tolerances and inspect parts with precision tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to safety rules.

Mold Tech Center builds and maintains Rubber molds for all Victaulic facilities worldwide.

Job Summary

• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and interpret GD&T.

• Set up and operate machines by installing pallets, vises, tombstones, and fixtures.
• Maintains specifications by taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Operate an overhead crane and drive a forklift.
• Write and Edit G code and M code programs as required.
• Operate 3 axis vertical CNC Mills.
• Operate CNC Mills Lathes and Turning Centers.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain equipment using preventative maintenance.
• Maintain an organized and clean work environment.

Physical Demands

• Experience in rubber mold building preferred but not required.
• Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Moderate walking, standing, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• Work around moving objects, and with machinery with moving parts.

Skills And Education

• 2+ Years Technical schooling preferred.
• 5+ years on the job experience preferred.
• High School graduate will be considered.
• Able to work well with others.

Hours Of Operation

Day shift: 40 Hours. Overtime as required.
