Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) to plan, direct and implement activity therapy as part of the patient’s treatment plan. The 94-bed facility provides psychiatric and addiction services across age groups.

The role requires creating therapeutic activities, leading sessions, and adjusting interventions to meet patient needs. The schedule is Sunday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm EST with competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Three or more years’ experience in recreation in a healthcare setting required.
• Certification in the area of specialty or CTRS/licensure is encouraged.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, direct and implement activity therapy programs as part of the patient’s treatment plan.
• Assess patients through observation and interviews to develop treatment plans.
• Lead and implement activities to improve patient well-being and progress toward goals.
• Instruct patients in activities such as sports, music, art or relaxation techniques.
• Engage patients to build social skills and independence.
• Modify activities for different groups and ensure patient safety.
