Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) seeks a licensed MSW to join the Social Work team at the Horry County Detention Center. Under supervision, you will coordinate discharge planning, conduct psychosocial assessments, and provide direct clinical social work services in an acute psychiatric setting.

The role requires LMSW/LISW licensure by the SC Board, strong communication, the ability to work independently, and collaboration with medical staff.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or social welfare accredited by CSWE.
• One year post-graduate professional social work experience; three years preferred.
• LMSW/LISW licensure by SC Board of Social Work Examiners.
• LISW-CP licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments for patients and caregivers.
• Coordinate discharge planning to ensure successful transitions.
• Provide direct clinical social work services in an acute psychiatric setting.
• Identify post-discharge risk factors and apply interventions.
• Collaborate with medical professionals to support care plans.
