Job summary

Grand Canyon University invites applications for Adjunct Clinical and Lab Nursing faculty members, PRN, with travel within the Orlando area to observe student performance during clinical rotations and labs.

MSN is required for clinicals and labs; at least 2 years of recent Med-Surg/Acute Care experience and an active, multi-state RN license are needed. Candidates must pass drug testing and demonstrate excellent communication to engage with students.

Qualifications

• MSN required for clinicals/labs.
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent work experience in Med-Surg/Acute Care nursing with a MSN
• Active, current, unencumbered, multi-state (compact) RN license.
• Must successfully pass a drug test and competency testing
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content, teaching nursing knowledge and skills for pre-licensure students.
• Collaborate with content area faculty for expert evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical objectives
• Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs
• Remain current with new trends and developments in nursing practice
• Maintain compliance with program accreditation requirements
• Uphold the pillars of the University and the nursing profession
• Travel to GCU student sites to observe student performance
• Support all areas of the university program in line with institutional philosophy and mission
• Provide a positive example by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement and Ethical Position Statement
