Job summary

Smith Chason College seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Faculty member to deliver high-quality instruction in the general ultrasound discipline. This remote role supports students and ensures alignment with syllabi, guidelines, and program standards, while collaborating with the department team.

The incumbent will review course materials, supervise online labs, provide constructive feedback, and promote student success and professional preparedness across virtual learning environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of related practical work experience in the subject area(s) taught.
• Maintain ARDMS license and continuing education requirements as specified by Smith Chason College.
• Maintain active CPR/BLS certification.
• Sound knowledge of career paths and employer demands in the field(s) taught.
• Experience with Canvas or related LMS is preferred.
• Online/remote/ blended teaching experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review course syllabus and set due dates on the first day of class.
• Provide instructions and demonstrations on ergonomics, knobology, anatomy and scanning techniques.
• Assist students with questions about protocols and policies; provide feedback.
• Demonstrate professionalism and respect toward students; accommodate diverse needs.
• Maintain labs; prepare and maintain instructional equipment and supplies.
• Monitor student progress and report issues to Program Director as needed.
• Provide feedback on protocols and teaching materials.
• Perform duties as assigned by Campus Director, Director of Education, and Program Director.

Education

Related degree (minimum level required for course)
